SHIN, Young-Moo
President,
Korean Bar Association
On behalf of the Korean Bar Association, I warmly welcome you to the 24th LAWASIA Annual Conference, which will be held in Seoul from 9th to 12th of October this year. We are highly honored to host this prestigious Conference, and will make every effort to ensure that it will be a pleasant and enriching experience for all participants.
The Asia-Pacific region is on the move; it has experienced remarkable economic growth in the last few decades and has emerged also as a significant player in the global legal market.
However, we still face challenges in terms of sustainable development and equal justice. These challenges require creative contribution and collaboration of the lawyers in the region.

Lester Huang
President, LAWASIA
On behalf of LAWASIA, I issue a warm invitation to judges, lawyers, legal academics, legislators and all others with an interest in the legal landscape of Asia and the Pacific to join us in Seoul from 9-12 October for the 24th LAWASIA Annual Conference.
Hosting and organising responsibilities are in the capable hands of our friends at the Korean Bar Association, and our longer-standing members will recall the excellent LAWASIA Conference hosted by the KBA in 1999. I am in no doubt that the 2011 conference will be every bit, if not more impressive, inspirational and productive.
